Specialized climbing shoe repair service

Having your climbing shoes resoled will significantly extend their lifespan. A single pair can easily go through several sets of soles before it’s time to say goodbye. This saves you money, reduces waste, and gives you climbing shoes that perform like new — only more comfortable. To learn more about the benefits of climbing shoe repair, click the button below…
You’ll get the best results if you send your climbing shoes to Lezolep for repair at the right time. Our video shows you how to recognise when they’re ready, or you can find more detailed information in the article below…
At Lezolep, we work with material that we believe is the very best we can put on your climbing shoes: the tried-and-tested Vibram® classics, RAToM racing compounds and the American newcomer, Unparallel.
Softer rubber means more friction. Harder rubber lasts longer and makes the shoe stiffer. Your choice therefore depends on your climbing style, but also on your weight. If you can’t decide, select “I’m not sure — choose for me” when ordering and we’ll pick the rubber closest to the original.
Three manufacturers, seven rubber compounds — from the softest and grippiest to the hardest and most durable. Find your perfect match in the handy table below.
The rubber behind the world’s toughest sends. A tried-and-tested classic with outstanding value for money, trusted by climbers like Adam Ondra and Sorato Anraku. As an authorised Vibram® repair centre, we’ll bring your climbing shoes back looking indistinguishable from the original.
More friction where it meets the rock, so you get the most out of every square millimetre of contact. The perfect choice for bouldering, hard overhangs, and climbers who often rely on smearing.
A harder, more durable compound — lasting up to 2.5 times longer than softer options. It excels on small edges because it provides more support for your feet. That also means less fatigue and pain on multi-pitch routes. Great choice for heavier climbers and those who rely mainly on precise edging.
If you haven’t tried this American rubber yet, you’ll find it hard to believe — but from the very first climb, it’s mind-blowing: your foot just won’t slip. It grips on sloping volumes, tiny footholds, even polished limestone. Feels like cheating — but it’s legit.
This compound truly shines in bouldering (indoor and outdoor), on overhangs where it’s hard to keep enough pressure on your feet, and on polished rock. Even dual-texture holds suddenly feel like viable footholds. Your secret weapon for a tough boulder problem or a demanding technical route.
More support on small edges and long routes. Its stiffness sits between Grip 2 and Edge, yet it still smears surprisingly well. In summer, when RS and Grip 2 get too soft on hot rock, RH hits the sweet spot.
Japanese compounds made from Grand Prix racing tyres. A limited-edition specialty you’ll recognise from viral videos — the softest rubber on the market, for the moments when a single foothold decides it all. Maybe not for every day, but definitely for the day when everything’s on the line.
The most limited compound, engineered for pure performance, made from the highest-friction racing slicks currently available.
A firmer compound in the range, offering extra support on small footholds. It balances grip, stiffness, and durability.
It grips better, allows for more sensitive footwork, and wears down faster.
It holds up on small edges and lasts much longer.
Shore A ratings come from manufacturers. The scale helps you compare different rubber compounds, but the ranges overlap — two compounds with the same rating can still behave differently on rock. Rubber hardness also shifts with temperature: every compound softens in the heat.
Resoling prices depend on the rubber compound: Vibram® starts at €32 per pair, Unparallel costs €3 more, and RAToM ranges from €47 to €57 per pair, depending on the compound. You’ll see the exact price, including rates for priority options, when you place your order.
